Water Quality Monitoring Program

Be a volunteer from your own backyard!

Who can volunteer?

Anyone can volunteer!

Where is this project taking place?

The water quality monitoring will be taking place in the St. Joseph Channel area.

Why is this important?

Water sampling is important for overall ecosystem health. Especially when a waterbody is used for recreational purposes, testing the water becomes vital in avoiding health risks, algae blooms, temperature changes, high turbidity, and invasive species.

What happens with the results?

The results from the project will be documented and analyzed by TKC staff before being sent off to the Water Rangers, who will provide the data to The Great Lakes Data Waterstream.
