About the Annual General Meeting

Who is able to attend? Both TKC members in good standing and the general public are welcome to attend. Only members in good standing will be able to vote on business matters.

Who is a member in good standing? A member in good standing is someone who has purchased their TKC Membership for the current year, which costs $35.00. Note that a membership is individual and only allows one person to vote (i.e. a couple would have to purchase two memberships for each to be able to vote).

What items are voted on during the meeting? Typically, votes are required to accept the audited financial reports, retain the auditors for the following year, and accept the proposed slate of directors. There may be other business that arises that requires a vote as well.

What else is discussed during the meeting? There is usually a recap given about what happened with TKC during the previous year and a few board committees provide the membership with some updates.
